The locations

Alta Badia Valley is located in a green valley surrounded by the Dolomites.
Six small alpine cities are scattered in the area, all of them to be visited both during the day or at night. La Villa, San Cassiano and Corvara are among the most known, easy to reach both by public transportation or by skiing. Here the ladin tradition matches with modernity, creating a perfect combination of local tastes with tourist oriented services.

A bit further away, in the Arabba – Marmolada area, the small alpine town of Arabba deserves a visit: this village is located in the heart of the Fodom valley, enclosed among the Gruppo Sella mountain peaks. Not to be missed is the well renowned Andraz Castle, built in 1027 and now valley landmark. Recently restored, it overlooks the dolomites landscapes, as an ancient milestone of the prince- bishop domination from Brixen.
Last but not least, two towns well respected among the worldwide jet-setters: Cortina d’Ampezzo and Brunico.
The first is known for its exclusive ambiance and wide offer of sightseeing, the latter is the largest town in the heart of Pustertal (Val Pusteria), at the bottom of the famous Plan de Corones.
Brunico represents a trait d’union between town and village, where an alpine center meets the services of a modern town.

All valleys and towns in the Dolomites area are within close range also from Hotel Grifone, thanks to the shuttle bus available for our guests.
